Message to Devs; This is a good idea for a game but right now It is hard to see it as more than a 'Harbinger' clone.
I have a couple of ideas I believe that would help stabilize the game and differentiate it from the aforementioned 'Harbinger'

1. Expand the ships selection, mostly the recon class ships (something cheap and fast to scout early)
2. Make the other Species playable in skirmish. would go along way to make this game feel fresh and new compared to it's predecessor.
3. And finally Simplify everything from the ui to the research and ship progression; it's fundementally flawed as of the moment.

Message to my fellow gamers; You'll probably get more out of 'Harbinger' as of this moment ;). Good game. Not really fair to compare it to BV:H because the flow of the first one was a slow build toward success and this one is cyclical. The pros are- you get to control more ships; you get stations; marine assaults; you get to select your balance and tech trees. Some of the negative reviews I see make some good points. The one warning I would offer is that if you are heavy into RTS games with tons of detail this may not be for you. The reason I am a fan is the slow lumbering battles that sometimes come down to the last pixel of a health bar.. Thumb up: Good fun for the bucks, especially now(Winter Sale) with the Battlevoid Bundle selling at 2.77 EU(!). I got what I paid for, even with the day 1 purchase.
Pros:
- light space RTS-like
- Random events could turn the tide
- it's OK to loose a fight/retreat, see above
- Challenging, see above
- But I must save the world! (oops, that sector of the Galaxy) (done)
Cons:
- A bit _repeatative_, despite random events.
. TL;DR: Playing this game like fighting up a hill while blindfolded, then losing to the actual toaster at the top because your sargent took away your rifle in the middle of battle and someone gave the toaster a nuclear weapon instead of bread. Don't waste your money on this game, not even on sale.

I hate this game. Every sector you have to start over from square one. The whole of humanity has chronic amnesia because all research you've done is immediately forgotten upon finishing a fight. The whole map is covered in fog of war keeping you from knowing where each of the capture points is, the AI on the other hand gets to bee line to each and every capture point on the map. Infact, that is the extent of what the AI is capable of, and will beat you, not because of brilliant strategy, but because it is given so many resources it can get nearly double the upgrades you can. Calling this game a strategy game is an insult to the genre.. This is not a reveiw sorry its mostly tells you what the game offers.

I mostly play this on my phone hence my lack of time played on here

Do i recomend this game, yes if what i describe to you is something your into this game is on mobile devices aswell and can be a good time waster if you have nothing to do.

I have only played the game for a few hours, but i have gotten a pretty good grasp of the game in that time. If you played Battlevoid: Harbinger then you will like this game as this takes place in the same universe and has a few similar features from the previous game. Sadly there is no multiplayer for the game it is entirely singleplayer.

The games main drive is its basically a skirmish gamemode. Where you have 2 spacestations you and the enemy and your objective is to destroy the enemy station using ships which your station produces and once you kill the enemy spacestation or vice versa the match ends and you then go into another match and repeat the process.

The campaign comes in 4 difficulties Easy, Normal, Hard and legend which take play on a 30 sector map with 5 enemy factions and your faction each with 5 sectors. Each faction hate you and there is no diplomacy system in the game. so to complete the campaign you must capture every enemy sector. When you start a game you'll be given 2 choices of which will put you in a match against a certain faction the choice the game makes cant be changed.

There is a skirmish mode that you can do which has 1V1 or 2V2 for the gamemode domination which is your typical match and it has a undersiege gamemode which is what you play when your defending your sectors in the campaign. Before you start your match you can choose if you want to start with low, medium or high cash what difficulty you want to play on, for which you can only choose easy, normal or hard, what events will appear during the match and for domination what map you want for undersiege the last choice is how big you want the enemy waves to be low, medium or endless.

Each faction have their own ship designs and weapons so you can tell what you'll be up against when you face a certian faction or when they jump into your current match.

1.After completing a match you'll earn a certain amount of tokens which can be used to buy more powerful ships, defence stations or research trees on the sector map under the unlockable tab to use in matchs from that point on.

2. In this game you play as a commander in charge of a spacestation defending against the enemy commander's spacestation. You can add turrets to the station or build ships using the ingame currency.

3. Mines randomly scattered across the maps increase the rate at which you gain currency and upgrade points, which once captured will have 4 slots to place defence stations to help defend the mines from enemy units.

4. Upgrade points are used to upgrade turrets, fighters or used to speed up research.

5. Research is used to give in match bonuses to your ships, production or to unlock high powered turrets which can then be used on your ships or stations.

6. During matchs the game may trigger events on the map such as a blackhole has formed which you must then avoid or it may spawn ships of another faction to attack both you and the other commander. ( I have not played this game for to long yet so there may be other events, these are just the ones i have seen so far. )

Update 1.

1. The first update adds 2 new ships to the game the BSE Marineclone for 400 points and the BSE Trademark for 600 points both have to be unlocked from the unlockables tab on the sector map. But with this update they have also reduced the cost of the unlockables so it doesnt cost so much to get the high end ships.

2. They have also nerfed the faction invasion event in matchs so at the start of games you dont get wiped because the game thought to spawn 2 teir 5 ships at your base. "which is nice"

3. They have also increased the starting money you get for the Easy, Normal and hard difficulties while the legend difficulty got some more crew members to a total of 25 instead, and they've decreased the repair cost by 20% "which was very much needed.". Some people like RTS Games, some like the roguelike feel to the previos game, Harbinger. For me, this title combines the feels of both types. And i love it a lot. Whether it was Bugbyte who made this game or if it were to be somebody else, i was looking forward to playing this game for myself. And i absolutely do NOT regret waiting.

Below is a list of improvements.

• New tech tree with 4 new turrets! PD rocket, Ion Plasma, Mega Plasma and Death ray.
  
• Hull repair and shield repair drones defensive behavior distance increased.
  
• Skirmish under siege difficulty with wave amount increased.
  
• Added explanations to special units in unlockables menu.
  
• Fixed marines being refilled for unit when pressing cancel on boarding confirm menu.
  
• Fixed bugs.

Here is our plan:

• Launch Kickstarter either in February or March 2019. A game build will be available for backers around 2 weeks after Kickstarter ends.
  
• We will develop the game further with the help of feedback from Kickstarter backers and release on Steam once the game is ready.

The Kickstarter will be launched in either February or March of 2019 and backers of the Kickstarter will be able to play an early version of Space Haven after the Kickstarter has ended and they have sent us the backers list (Usually takes around 2 weeks).

I have worked hard to make a first update for the game. We would like to invite you to join and play the newest version 1.34 right away!

Below is a list of improvements.

• Added unit BSE MarineClone and BSE Trademark
  
• Buffed BSE Avallon and BSE Harvesterstation hull and shield.
  
• Made many texts have larger font.
  
• Decreased overall repair cost of units by 20%.
  
• Made endless wave defense difficulty rise more with higher waves.
  
• Disallowed enemy factions warping in with very big fleets in the very beginning of the game.
  
• Difficulty levels tweaked. Easy has more start resources and enemies more penalty for hull and shield. Normal and hard slightly more start resources too. Legend got some more crew.

Good news! 3 new stations arrive to help you defend from incoming attacks. The battlestation from one of the first Battlevoid games makes a cameo. BSE Firstcontact is a point defense specialist station, having 8 pd slots to help you shoot down missiles and fighters.



In addition to the BSE Firstcontact, you now also have the BSE Rampart and BSE Bastion available. These two stations are the big and busky stations, offering a real choice for heavy defense against incoming attacks. This was something that was missing from the human force, but not anymore!

Hope everyone has had a good start on 2018. We've been churning on here at Bugbyte and I decided to make more stuff for Sector Siege! This time it's a new research tree with hangar related improvements.

I made a research tree with:

• Hangar build speed improvement 10%
  
• Hangar build speed improvement 20%
  
• Fighter Capture Ray - This laser ray will instantly hack the computer of any enemy fighter, make it attack all your enemies for 30 seconds and then self-destruct.
  
• Squad size improvement to 2 for all bomber hangars - This will make your bomber hangars able to launch out 2 bomber units at a time from one hangar instead of just 1. This tech is practically a huge boost to your firepower when combined with many bomber hangars.
